There are different challenges when you go to university. Straight out of school and colleges you don’t know what to do without the assistance of your previous helpful teacher’s and supporting squad. 

In universities you are all by yourself and you have to look after for yourself. Here is some key things you need to keep in mind before starting university; 

Take notes 
Attend each class and take notes. In the earlier days no one is your friend. Try to keep up with the course. Also, the way you will understand things can be different from others teaching you later. So don’t miss a class for not missing anything. 

Keep in touch with family and old friends
It helps you to boost your confidence and mood when you are alone somewhere. It also gives you a lot of strength to deal with difficult situations. 

Initiate new friendships 
To survive you need to keep up with people in class and make good sensible friends, so that you can make your time worth the while in the campus and make memories with them. 

Avoid bad habits
When you are alone you get into bad habits very easily. You only need to keep one thing in mind which is, this will only ruin your future and it will never be worth it. 

Look for internships
Ask your advisers and professors. Look for them on the internet. Attend career expo’s to find internship. Doing most internships in your university life can definitely give you a good job one day.

Cherish the small things you have achieved by overcoming your fear. It boosts your confidence and you start to feel better about yourself.

Kill negative thoughts

When you think you are ready to try it for sometime you can set some short term goal to target and then set another target. This will help you to not be impatient and form the habit for long term basis. Where as, it will also help you to be consistent in what you want to do and how. It will be part of your daily life and easier to maintain. After all, if you have decided to keep something and is part of your lifestyle, you no longer have to make an effort to create a habit.

You don’t need to be a gym person or yoga guru to own these. You can have them for your regular use to get into comfortable clothes paired up hoodies and t-shirt for a casual day. 

Accessories 
Bags, jewelry and sunglasses are some must have’s for everyday purposes as they are somethings which help us to put our look together, also helps us to carry our important things and protect us on a sunny day.

There are times when we are into the habits which we don’t bother to think can be bad for our health and mind. But we never realize it and are doing it for so long now that we are habitual of it. Habits develop over time and are part of our daily routines, if we don’t bother to correct them or take action to stop them from happening.

Stress eating 
Now a days due to our work, school and societal pressures and deadlines, make us stress out. People don’t know what to in these situations and how they should be dealing with it. They find satisfaction in eating junk food and food that they love. Instead of doing all this people need to reach out to their friends and family or mediate to calm their selves down.

Being late
All people should know how to manage time and where they need to put their all first. Being late to work, universities, parties and gatherings is a bad habit as there are people who are waiting for you, they also had commitments and other duties in life. So don’t waste people’s time and plan your schedule to reach your destination at required time.

Usage of excess technology 
Everyone is always on their phone, using laptops and playing games. There should be some time and limitations in your life that when to use these things. We are aware, we have plenty of time afterwards but we don’t need to use it when our parents are talking or when our deadlines are hanging. 

Hanging out with naysayers
People who are rude, not appreciating and pessimistic should be cut out of your lives. Because they only make you feel miserable and unworthy. Some times we don’t realize we have many of them around us and in between us for killing our positive self. So identify them and avoid them.

Other
Procrastination, nail biting and drug usage. These all should be also avoided in our lives. We don’t know what we are doing until we face a bad incident. So stop doing it and let good happen to you.

Spending time
It create positive impact on others as you invite them to spend time with you and talk, watch movies, bake and have a trip with them. It makes them feel special and also thankful for the person they have by their side, to be that generous and loving.
