Making and breaking if habits is hard for many people. But you don’t need to be strict to your self and can take it in step so that it is easy for you stay motivated to create a habit.
You can first try to experiment on what you are trying to do and see what are its benefits for you and the drawbacks. It will be easier for you to under to how to create the habit.
When you think you are ready to try it for sometime you can set some short term goal to target and then set another target. This will help you to not be impatient and form the habit for long term basis. Where as, it will also help you to be consistent in what you want to do and how. It will be part of your daily life and easier to maintain. After all, if you have decided to keep something and is part of your lifestyle, you no longer have to make an effort to create a habit.
